Yunnan Launches First Multimodal "One-Bill Coverage System" Freight Train

On April 17, a container freight train fully loaded with feed-grade calcium hydrogen phosphate departed from Wangjiayingxi Railway Station. Via the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, it headed to Qinzhougangdong Railway Station, where the cargo will be transferred to a shipping vessel bound for Yingkou Port. This marks the successful operation of Yunnan's first multimodal "one-bill coverage system" freight train.

The shipment was jointly transported by Kunming Branch of CRCT, CR-Kunming, Trawind (Ningbo) Shipping Logistics Co., Ltd. and Antong Holdings Co., Ltd. Shippers only need to apply for the "one-bill coverage system" rail-water intermodal logistics service on the railway 95306 platform to complete the entire transportation process, achieving seamless rail-water intermodal connectivity. With the "one-bill coverage system", the transportation time has been reduced by approximately three days compared to previous methods.

Unlike traditional multimodal transport, the "one-bill coverage system" features "one-time consignment, one document for the entire journey, one container for the entire journey, and one-time settlement." Clients make a single payment to access logistics services covering transportation, storage, loading and unloading, eliminating the need to coordinate separately with multiple carriers for document transfers, short-haul transport and cargo transfers. Additionally, clients can track shipments in real-time via the 95306 platform, significantly improving efficiency while reducing logistics costs.

CR-Kunming plans to accelerate the adoption of the "one-bill coverage system" service model, which includes "one-time consignment, one-time settlement, one-time insurance and full responsibility by the multimodal transport operator," as well as the "single container" service model that ensures "no container change, no unpacking, and one container for the entire journey." These efforts aim to enhance logistics efficiency and provide robust support for increased freight volumes through high-quality services.
