On August 20, a grain train carrying 22 TEUs filled with rice and other primary processed food departed from Xieqiao Freight Station in Fuyang, Anhui province, heading to Lyusi (Port) Station in Qidong, Jiangsu province. The cargo will then be transshipped to Shanghai and shipped via Antong Logistics express liner service to Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi and other regions. This marks the successful departure of the first multimodal "one-bill coverage system" grain train in the Yangtze River Delta.
Compared with traditional container multimodal transport, the "one-bill coverage system" features "one-time consignment, one bill for the whole journey, one container for the whole journey and one-time settlement." Customers only need to make a single payment to access the full range of logistics services including transportation, storage, loading and unloading, and whole-process tracking. There is no need to separately communicate and negotiate with multiple carriers such as railway and shipping companies on document handover, short-haul transport and cargo transshipment. This model not only improves transport efficiency but also effectively reduces overall logistics costs.
