Since the beginning of this year, CR has adhered to the people-centered development philosophy, continued to deepen the supply-side structural reform in transportation, strengthened passenger transport organization, enriched passenger service offerings, and actively contributed to stabilizing the economy, expanding domestic demand, and promoting consumption. These efforts have provided strong support for passengers to travel safely, conveniently and comfortably, as well as for the sustained recovery and improvement of the economy. From January to August, railways nationwide carried 3.2 billion passengers, up 6.7% year-on-year, hitting a record high for the same period in history, with railway operations remaining safe, stable and orderly.
